“Roadkill” is the debut short story by Leonard Kirke. One way to describe it would be: “the tale of four new-found friends going on a late night fast food run.” But that sounds boring, so keep in mind that the four friends are the ghosts of various animals, recently the victims of grisly deaths, and that the aforementioned fast food might be the key to preserving their very existence.
